Frequently Asked Questions
Can I split a password-protected PDF?
No. Password-protected PDFs cannot be processed by this tool. Remove the password protection first using a PDF editor, then split here.
How do I extract just one page?
Use "Extract page range" and enter the single page number (e.g. 5). Click Split PDF to download
a PDF containing just that page.
What does "split every N pages" do?
It divides the PDF into chunks of N pages. For example, a 10-page PDF split every 2 pages produces 5 files of 2 pages each. If the total pages don't divide evenly, the last file will contain the remaining pages.
How many files can I get from splitting?
There's no hard limit. A 100-page PDF split by all pages produces 100 individual PDFs, bundled into a ZIP file.
Can I select non-consecutive pages?
Yes! Use the range syntax with commas: 1, 3, 5-8, 12 will extract pages 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 12
into a single PDF in that order.
